Bring your rulebook. These sheets help you record and play a character; you choose their abilities, equipment, and rules.
Using your sheet
-
Fill it in.
Open the sheet for your game and enter your character’s details. Where a sheet calculates a value, you can enter your own to override it. Clear that field to use the calculation again.
-
Keep the link.
Your edits update the page’s URL. Choose Copy character link and keep it somewhere you can find it, or send it to your GM. Copy a fresh link after each session to keep your latest changes.
-
Play your way.
Use the sheet on screen, or use your browser’s Print command for a paper copy or PDF. Print a blank sheet if you prefer to keep track with a pencil.
Questions
Where is my character saved?
Your character’s data is stored in the link itself, in the part after the #. There’s no account or online character library to sign into. Copy the latest link into your notes, or bookmark it, before closing the sheet.
Anyone with that link can open the character it contains, so only share details you’re happy for them to see.
What does “Save version” do?
It marks a point in this tab’s browser history. Use Back and Forward to move between saved versions. Editing an older version replaces the forward history, just like browsing to a new page.
These checkpoints aren’t a permanent backup. Copy the link for any version you want to keep beyond the current tab.
Can I keep more than one character?
Yes. Keep a separate link for each character. Use New character on a sheet to start again with that system’s defaults; it asks you to confirm before opening a blank sheet.
Save your current character’s link first so it’s easy to come back to.
Will it work on my phone or in print?
You can fill in the sheets in a modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. Dense sheets are roomier on a larger screen. The sheets follow your device’s light or dark setting, and use a light background when printed.
Use your browser’s print preview to choose paper size, margins, and whether to save a PDF. Long character notes may need extra pages.
Is this an official game tool?
No. Character Sheets is an independent community resource, unaffiliated with the games’ publishers. Game names belong to their respective owners.
